Selma and Pips 05/28/2011 to 06/15/2011
Picked up 5/29/2011 three days shy of 8 weeks, Selma and Pips burst into our lives. Weighing in at, UNDER, 1 1/2 pounds, they've made themselves at home. They are now just over 1 1/2 pounds, ten weeks 1 day!! They've earned the nickname "Hell Hounds" because of the way they BURST out of their nightime room and the INCREDIBLE bursts of, all out, activity. When they are on a "tear" you had better stand aside!! They will run you over!!
Selma is the, mostly, black cat. She was the "runt" of the litter. They are litter mates. If you look at the pictures of her close up you will see a "halo" of LONG fur!! Pips has a lot more white, including a "SKUNK" stripe down her back! That's going to cause a heart attack in our house sometime! A couple of years ago, we ended up with a REAL skunk living in our house, in a second floor closet, for a week or more! We started hearing scratching noises and finding the cats dry food scattered all over. You need to know that the cats dry food is on the FIRST floor in a back room!!
Due to Pips, non stop, activity and bravery, we thought she would be the first to figure out how to get out of the house. WRONG!! Selma saw our older cat come PARTWAY into the kitchen via the cat flap and, when Muffin backed out, she reached up and pushed the flap open and crawled out!!
Many of these pictures have had their "Brightness" and "Contrast" adjusted to make it easier to see what is going on.
